On January 11, New Jersey Governor Murphy took another step forward in the fight against smoking in the Garden State by signing A6020 / S4114 into law. The legislation, which passed with bipartisan support, provides a balanced approach to increasing access to life-saving smoking cessation products, Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRT), in underserved communities by putting the products in convenience stores where more than 90% of all cigarettes are sold.

A coalition comprised of public health equity advocates applauds Governor Murphy and the State legislature for being the first State in the Nation to pass legislation that makes it easier for residents in ALL communities to access Nicotine Replacement Treatments (NRT).
